Erin's Essentials uses NO preservatives, chemicals or fragrances in our products. Our all natural blend of oils, butters and aloe uses food grade ingredients whenever possible. No preservatives or fragrances are used, so photosensitivity issues are avoided.
Erin started making her hand cream when she couldn't find one without ANY chemicals, preservatives or fragrances. Most large companies must use some kind of preservative in order to produce large quantities that will last on store shelves. Even citrus preservatives and fragrances caused photosensitity to her really fair, super dry skin. So NONE are used in Erin's Essentials. Erin can get away with this because she makes small batches with a limited (6-8 month) shelf life.
